Next: Things to consider before applying

Volunteer spotlight: Patient Visiting Volunteers

At St. Michael’s, we strive to ensure that we provide the best possible patient experience. One of the ways we do that is through our team of highly motivated and compassionate volunteers.

We have immediate openings on our Patient Visiting Volunteer team in both the morning and afternoon schedules (weekdays and weekends available). In this highly interactive volunteer role, you would visit with inpatients on our nursing floors to offer services and support that makes their hospital stay more comfortable. This includes helping patients to complete their daily menus, solving meal-related issues, making sure patients have what they need (TV, telephone, blankets, call bell, Wi-Fi etc), offering reading material and cheering up patients with a short chat.

We are looking for individuals that have great communication skills, like to be busy and enjoy interacting with a variety of people. If this sounds like you and you have 3-4 hours to volunteer once a week, please click here to apply.
