Preparing for Surgery: What to do the day before your surgery

On the day before your surgery, please follow these guidelines:

  • Get your surgery time.

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

    We are closed Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.

  • Do not eat or drink (not even gum, water or candy) after midnight.
  • A sip of water can be taken if medication is required.
  • If you develop a cold, flu or a chest infection, call you surgeon.
  • Arrange to have someone to take you home by taxi or car. You can not operate a vehicle for twenty-four (24) hours following your surgery. Also not that you can not ride public transit after your surgery.
